"One shirt can provide 20 meals" - All Together International sold t-shirts globally to help vulnerable individuals
All Together International is a fundraiser with a simple premise: “buy a t-shirt, join a global community, feed 20 people who really need it.” The fundraiser was started by Anne Leathers and Stefanie Sebald, who, after being laid off and furloughed due to COVID-19 safeguarding measures, found their priorities had vastly changed. They soon realised that “food, shelter and community support needed to be our focus”.
Meet Olivia Haynes, a Vienna based musician that uplifted her community through music
Throughout the world, there have been videos circulating of people performing to their neighbours while cities remain on lockdown. Olivia Haynes wanted to bring light and fun into her neighbours’ lives through music. “I’ve been singing for as long as I remember. I’m from a musical family.”
“You Donate… We Deliver” provides over 2,000 meals per day to frontline workers
“Yes, we might be doing a lovely thing, but we are not the people sweating in PPE. [...] And yes, what we do is hard; but compare that to watching someone die on a ventilator - I don’t think there’s a question of whether we carry on.”
"Feed the Second Line" project supports local artists with free groceries, deliveries, and employment
Feed the Second Line is a collaborative effort involving Krewe of Red Beans, Rouses Markets, Market Umbrella Market), the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic & Assistance Foundation, and the Preservation Hall Foundation. The new project focuses on the rich cultural history of New Orleans and pays homage to the artists that make the city what it is.
Registered NYC nurse starts a campaign to provide free meals for healthcare workers in Queens
Yap is currently a registered nurse within the pediatric ICU department in New York City. Yap started Fuel the Frontlines, a fundraiser to provide meals for healthcare workers in Queens. The fundraiser had an initial goal of raising $4,500; the funds would allow her to buy meals from local businesses for these healthcare workers.
A 35-year-old COVID-19 survivor shares his recovery journey
The covid19recovery.net team had the chance to hear the story of Josh who recovered from COVID-19 in the last few weeks. Josh is 35 years old and originally from West Texas. He was a former business owner until COVID-19 struck in the past few weeks. He currently resides in Austin.

“We also have a bunch of customers who work [on the] frontlines and told us that even though they worry that they will bring the virus [to their homes], this is what they signed up for and they are ready. What they said really touched us and we were inspired to do something special for them.”
