DNR Productions is an entertainment production company. Due to the social gathering restrictions arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the rave community has been negatively impacted through the cancellation of all events. Driven by his passion for the electronic music community, Mr. Fernandez established “ DNR Productions “ as a way to spread positivity through hosting drive-in music events.
There is No War in Ba Sing Se: London in Lockdown
The UK went into official lockdown on 23 March, but the signs of the oncoming pandemic were already visible by then. The week before, I tried to buy pasta only to find it sold out across three supermarkets. My friends and family were sent home from their jobs long before the government said to do anything…One day we will be able to meet in large groups, eat at restaurants, and shop for groceries at a leisurely pace. I cannot say when. For now, I can only hope that we can hold out a little longer.
"One shirt can provide 20 meals" - All Together International sold t-shirts globally to help vulnerable individuals
All Together International is a fundraiser with a simple premise: “buy a t-shirt, join a global community, feed 20 people who really need it.” The fundraiser was started by Anne Leathers and Stefanie Sebald, who, after being laid off and furloughed due to COVID-19 safeguarding measures, found their priorities had vastly changed. They soon realised that “food, shelter and community support needed to be our focus”.
“Kashtakari Panchayat” is providing free PPE kits and ration to waste pickers so they can work safely
“Kashtakari Panchayat” (KPT) has been working to support waste pickers and their families in Pune, India since 2010. “Kashtakari Panchayat” is a Hindi word which means “justice council of labourers” - true to its name, the organization sought to and continues to follow the route of demanding rights and entitlements of the waste pickers from civic, municipal, and government authorities…
Meet Olivia Haynes, a Vienna based musician that uplifted her community through music
Throughout the world, there have been videos circulating of people performing to their neighbours while cities remain on lockdown. Olivia Haynes wanted to bring light and fun into her neighbours’ lives through music. “I’ve been singing for as long as I remember. I’m from a musical family.”
Toronto resident creates 'Zoomies', an initiative that walks dogs for vulnerable owners
Meet Jasper Newton, founder of the volunteer group, ‘Zoomies’. Restrictions put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic have become problematic for the vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals who need to walk their dogs. To combat this issue and continue providing care for their dogs, a number of Toronto residents use Zoomies to match dog-walker volunteers with the dogs. Here is Newton’s story on how Zoomies came about.

Feed the Second Line is a collaborative effort involving Krewe of Red Beans, Rouses Markets, Market Umbrella Market), the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic & Assistance Foundation, and the Preservation Hall Foundation. The new project focuses on the rich cultural history of New Orleans and pays homage to the artists that make the city what it is.
Registered NYC nurse starts a campaign to provide free meals for healthcare workers in Queens
Yap is currently a registered nurse within the pediatric ICU department in New York City. Yap started Fuel the Frontlines, a fundraiser to provide meals for healthcare workers in Queens. The fundraiser had an initial goal of raising $4,500; the funds would allow her to buy meals from local businesses for these healthcare workers.

We are all thankful for those who work in healthcare now more than ever. The bravery required to put on a mask and gloves and walk into work every day is what is sustaining our world.
